Blog #6

“Hey do you want to come over for dinner today?” asked Crystal. “Yeah, I’m sure my mom will be fine with it." said Catherine. As they were driving to Crystal's house they talked about school and other things. "My mom's cooking already, hope you're hungry!" Catherine gave her a smile and a nod not knowing what to expect.
As they walked up the front porch steps Crystal opened the door and then it hit Catherine. A foul disgusting smell hit her like a wave. She was just about ready to throw up. "Come on in, Catherine!" said Crystal's mom. Catherine walked in slowly and once she got in her body became immersed in the stink. After a few minutes she was used to it but it was still disgusting. She was scared to find out what horrid food was going to enter her mouth.
They sat down at the dinner table and they all stared at the eggs, chicken, and broccoli. It didn't look so bad at first, so she grabbed some scrambled eggs with her fork and put it in her mouth. It stayed there for a few seconds until Catherine tasted it. She felt bad if she threw it up so she tried her best to eat it. Her eyes were watering and she didn't know what to do. It was slimy and tasted like sour milk, plus it was a little bit spicy. Catherine scarfed it down and gave a little shiver and. Her tongue was still burning. She then smiled at Crystal and her family. The chicken was next. It looked and smelled moldy, she grabbed it with her fork, closed her eyes and put it in her mouth. It tasted sick, so sick that she threw it back up. The chicken was nauseating and repulsive
. Her stomach grumbled. Catherine lied and said her stomach was hurting so her mom had to pick her up. "Sorry for wasting the food." said Catherine with still a sour taste in her mouth. "Oh that's fine dear." said Crystal's mom. She then walked out of the door and could breathe the fresh air. She was so thankful to get out of there. When she was in there she felt like she was eating poop and smelling it too. "Never again." Catherine whispered.
