(Previously in the story, Michael Dewitt, Father of Mark, has died. Michael never allowed Mark to see his love, Jessica.)
MARK: My love, come to me, embrace me. We are free to love each other.
JESSICA: No, I can't. I won't.
MARK: Why, why not?
JESSICA: I will not allow the death of your father become a positive.
MARK: My love, what has he ever done for us?
JESSICA: What are you saying!?! This is your father!
MARK: He never did anything for us!
JESSICA: Who are you!?! Where's the man I fell in love with!?!
MARK: I'm right here, my love.
JESSICA: No, you've changed. You've turned into a monster! A heartless, evil monster who only cares about himself.
Mark slaps Jessica across the face
MARK: Don't you ever talk about me like that again!
JESSICA: I hate you!
MARK: Come here!
Mark grabs her
JESSICA: Unhand me you scoundrel!
Jessica begins squealing around in his arms
MARK: Who you calling a scoundrel!?!
Mark shoves her to the ground
