Erv's dream was to settle down with a beautiful woman and have a family. Erv was very attractive, and many women would gladly marry him. One day he fell in love with a gorgeous girl named Pooja. He eventually married her. Erv thought Pooja was the most beautiful thing on Earth. What he loved most about her was how she looked. She had perfect, symmetrical features and bright, green eyes. He loved to stroke her soft hair and caress her perfect face. Every day when Pooja got home from her job at Subway, Erv would give her a back massage.
One day, Erv got a phone call from the police. They told him that an accident had occurred at Pooja's work place. A piece of ham in the restaurant turned out to have dark, magical properties. Pooja had made a sandwich with the ham, and the meat had magically distorted her face and body. She was so ugly, that people had trouble looking at her. Her nose was on her forehead, and her eyes caved into her skull. Her hair stuck out from her neck in wiry, grey clumps.
When Erv saw his wife, he looked at her and saw beauty. Her face was hideous, but he saw past that. His eyes showed him the stunning girl that lived inside.
Erv found that he did not love his wife just for what she looked like. He loved her for what was inside.
