"Father, I don't want to be queen!" She pleaded kindly. The king thought about her daughter and how she was grateful, caring, and quiet. Ever since the talk of her receiving the throne, she had been in a bad mood. She was still the same sweet child only that she was nearly 21 years old!
"You must get married, Angelina!" Her father said, "We have no choice!"
"I do not wish to be married but I shall on one condition," she mumbled.
The king saw power unleash in her light blue eyes.
"What? The king asked with an anxious look on her face.
"I get to choose my husband and we get whatever we want!" She demanded.
"Oh Angelina, don't you think that that would be quite selfish?"
"Prince David and I shall be married in the morning," she said as she ignored her father's question. She slowly walked out of her room as she fiddled with her silk dress.
"I can picture myself in power," she said stronglyas she gazed out the window, "This old town will bow at my feet."
Prince Davis and Princess Angelina were married the next morning. A few months passed and the towns people thought that the new rulers were not doing their job. Nothing was happening to make the town a better place and the people became angry! Angelina hid inside without knowledge of how to rule. Angelina's compassion and love for others flew out the window as she became richer. The next morning, Angelina went out for a stroll in the rose garden in her diamond embroidered, gold dress. She layed her eyes upon a small dog playing in her garden. "Is that an animal!" she yelled as she ran up and grabbed the puppy by the skin in its neck. Angelina grew to have a hatrid of all living things and she loved herself more than anything. Karma was sneaking up on Angelina ready to pounce. The next day, Angelina woke up and found Prince David dead! He had been murdered; but by whom!? Angelina wept and wept. The city had no rulership and there was hell inside and outside of the castle walls. Angelina would not get out of bed even for food and died a month later of starvation. Her last words were, "I'm sorry father."
It was power that tok her to the top, and the very same thing that brought her down.
