My name is Jo. I was at my friend's house and we were having dinner. I could smell the food from a mile away. The stench was so nauseating and permeating that I thought I was going to gag. I watched as my friend's mother presented the food. The stench was so overwhelming and overpowering. The room needed venalation. I glanced at the food then to my friend and then I gulped. The food was worth trying. I stabbed my fork into what looked like chicken and then tore off a piece. I was sweating from all the anticipation from my friend and his family. I comforted myself with the thought of a Fleming's steak. I continued to move the fork in my direction. My hands were shaking. My lips were trembling. My heart was pounding. Then I jammed the fork into my mouth. The first thing I tasted was chicken, but seconds after, the flavors were sinking in and I tasted nothing but garbage. After that, everything went black. I woke up moments after wondering what had happened. Apparently I was knocked out by the taste. That was very bizarre because wasn't someone supposed to be knocked out by smell. Well the family were immigrants. I am sure they just didn't know the difference. I stood up and there it was. The deadly chicken. Then I realized what was in my mouth still, the chicken. Then I passed out again. Again I woke up and this time I spit out the chicken. The mother was gone. But another awful stench was arousing into the air. The dreadful smell of the chicken was dissipating. I realized what had happened the instant the mother came out. She was making another dish because she thought I liked the first one. I was hoping a miracle that maybe two awful oders would cross cancel each other out. But that didn't happen. Instead there was double the oder. And then I passed out. I woke up again and there was fish on the table. It smelled worse than the chicken I could see the eyeball guts squirt out and fish brains with thick gravy on top. I sat in the chair and had to pinch my nose immediately. The oder was killing me. I came inch by inch closer then the essence of the fish was settling onto my mouth. I could taste the oder. That was disgusting. I passed out instantly, but this time fell forward into the fish and was knocked out cold. I blinked my eyes several times to adjust to the bright sunlight that was seeping through the window and into my eyes. I sat up realizing I was at home in bed. I scrambled out of bed and dashed towards my parents bedroom. There they were sleeping. As I got closer downstairs a familiar oder was leaking into the house. I went downstairs and guess what was sitting on the dining table, FISH AND CHICKEN. I came a bit closer and I passed out.
