Artistic Statement

Writing is a way to express my feelings. When I write fiction, I imagine myself in my character's place. That helps me describe what my characters are feeling. Creating characters is fun for me as I imagine their distinct personalities. Part of the reason why I write is because it's just fun.

When I write, I first picture a setting or a situation. Then I take my character and imagine how he or she would act. Then the story unfolds from there!

Looking at museums inspires me. If I see a clay figure, my mind immediately jumps to a story about mini clay figurines that talk, walk, and joke around. Seeing unusual things sparks my creativity.
