Artistic Statement

The thing that I focus on the most when I'm writing are the faults of humanity. Humans are not perfect and have many flaws. Some people call it negative when someone speaks about the faults of humanity, but I think it is a very interesting subject. To look into the human mind is very interesting.
I also write about how humans deny, discover, or not know about their faults. The best way to write this, in my opinion, is using symbolism. Symbolism can be very subtle, and it makes the reader think very deeply about him or herself. Also, symbolism can send a message to the world and give a great story at the same time. The human mind is a very complex place. To write about it is very unique and fun to me. After I write a story, I always imagine if some stranger that I didn't know read my story and thought in his or her mind, "This story is talking about me." Some people know many powerful things, but they don't know they know it. They don't know, until they read a story that is a mirror of their thoughts. That's the power of writing.
